Arco is one of the most famous climbing areas in Europe with excellent climbing on limestone in a beautiful setting. It also offers perfect climbing opportunities in winter and is the ideal destination for a New Year’s holiday. Therefore, at the beginning of January, my friend Judith and I set off from Innsbruck for a climbing trip by train and bike to Arco. After finishing my master in 2019, I travelled around Europe in my van for climbing. Although enjoying climbing with my friends and seeing a lot of beautiful places to the fullest, I was increasingly concerned about the impact travelling for climbing has on my own carbon footprint.
