Research in Iceland

In 2018 I spent several weeks in Iceland to investigate effects of soil warming. At our study site, an earthquake in 2008 created a natural soil warming gradient which gives a unique opportunity for ecologists to study how various ecosystem processes are affected by temperature. I had the pleasure to work with people from all over the globe and besides my research, I also had the opportunity to visit this beautiful country.
