About Me

My name is Lena Müller. I am an ecologist and a climber.

Inspiration

I grew up in the Allgäu region in Germany and was able to spend a lot of time outdoors in the mountains. Climbing then eventually evolved into a deep passion and I became the first German woman to climb E9 trad. Currently, I am doing a PhD in ecology on the effects of the climate crisis on ecosystems. My deep connection with nature combined with my research resulted in the strong desire to get actively involved in fighting the climate crisis.

As a freelance ecologist, I would therefore like to draw attention to climate-friendly outdoor sports and raise awareness for the climate crisis. My goal is to share knowledge and show possibilities for action with articles, talks, and sustainable projects. I also work as a project manager for the Albrecht von Dewitz Foundation to support the promotion of safe and sustainable mountain sports.
